READ: God’s Messenger; Jonah and the big fish, from Jonah 1-4; Hebrews 1:1-2, p. 160-169.
ACTIVITY: Play “Red Light, Green Light”. If you need the rules they are available online.
Debrief: In life our goal is to run to Jesus, but he never says Red light. With God it is always green light on! Jonah ran away from the goal. Do you ever run the wrong way? How do you think Jonah felt when he ran the right way? How do you feel when you run the right way toward God?
ORNAMENT IDEAS: Fish or whale, stuffed, plastic, picture, etc.
This ornament reminds us that God will do anything to have us choose to run to Him.
READ: p.431-435, “A Fishy Story”.
ACTIVITY: Can you think of a time you ran in the opposite direction God wanted you to go? How did it feel? How does it feel when you run toward God? Write about this in your journal.
ORNAMENT: Fish or Whale. This ornament reminds us that God will do anything to have us choose to run to Him.
