The best thing going on for 7th and 8th graders at Huron River Methodist. We have games, and discipleship groups every week, where we talk about life, our faith, and try to equip our youth to share the love of Christ with others.

Current Teaching Series - Relationship Goals
Our current teaching series for Edge 78 and High School Edge is "Relationship Goals". This series invites our students on a journey that will explore key aspects of healthy, God-centered relationships:
Relationship Goals is a three-week journey:
Week 1: Be Selfless, Not Selfish
Big Idea: Selfishness is the poison that that kills healthy relationships. Learning to be selfless is foundational for a godly relationship.
Question for Discussion: How can being selfless instead of selfish change the way we approach relationships?
Week 2: Decide Who You're Going to Be
Big Idea: If you want to be ready for a relationship, focus on humility, curiosity, and spiritual growth. These qualities are essential for a relationship that glorifies God.
Question for Discussion: What are some ways you can cultivate humility, curiosity, and spiritual growth in your own life?
Week 3: Love Like Jesus
Big Idea: The more we get to know Jesus, the better equipped we are to love others like He does. This is the heart of a godly relationship.
Question for Discussion: How can understanding Jesus' love for us help us love others in our relationships?
Edge 78 Sunday School
All 7th & 8th grade students are welcome to join us for Edge 78 Sunday School during the 10:30 a.m. service. We meet in the Edge and go through the Action Bible Curriculum, the same Sunday School content as the 5th and 6th graders, but slightly alter it to better fit the learning and spiritual growth of our 7th and 8th graders.
Students are welcome to be dropped off at the Edge or walk over themselves, and they will be brought back to the atrium before service ends so parents can pick up.
Confirmation
Confirmation is an important tradition here at Huron River Methodist. It's a time when our 9th grade students have the opportunity to learn about the Christian faith, our beliefs and values, and what it means to be a member here.

The class meets every Sunday morning during the 10:30 a.m. service at the Edge from October - April, culminating in Confirmation Sunday. At that time students have the opportunity to become a member of the church, and be baptized if they were not previously.

There is also a class for parents of confirmands that takes place simultaneously so they can learn alongside their children. All parents of children in Confirmation are encouraged to attend.
Sign-up for Chow Time
Chow Time is from 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. every Sunday during the school year and is an opportunity for students 5th - 12th grade to eat dinner together before or after their Edge events. Dinner is provided by volunteers each week and rotates by grade as to who is responsible. We ask for a $20 donation per student (or $60 per family for families with 4 or more children) to help cover the cost of the food.

This document is required to be filled out before retreats or other events where students are leaving the church campus (SpringHill, SOS, etc.). If you are not sure if you have filled one out you can click the link below to see the list of Forms that we have on file for this year.
Edge 78 Winter Retreat
Come join us for our Edge 78 at Winter Retreat at Lake Ann!
The retreat will be February 20th thru 22nd and the cost is $190. Spots are limited (we have 15 currently) so sign up soon!
In addition to registering through the church you must register with Lake Ann, use the code HRM100 to register without paying (as we have already prepaid for spots).
