The Edge
Welcome to The Edge, our ministry designed for specifically for middle and high school students! It includes a student led band, practical teaching, and guided discipleship groups (D-Groups).

We meet in our youth building "The Edge", as it's on the edge of the property.

We also have Sunday School, Mission Trips, Bible Studies, retreats and much more.

We hope you'll come in and check out The Edge, connect with friends, mentors, and, most importantly, Jesus; and carry out your faith into the world and your life when you leave high school.

Joy Hook
Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries
I truly love my job, and love working with 5th-12th grade students as well as college age students! God is on the move at the Edge, and I'm blessed that I get to oversee this program. I do not believe there is a better community where students can come in, learn about faith, and be supported in their walks with Christ. This is the church I grew up in, and I am so blessed to work here alongside people who showed me what a follower of Christ looks like.
Fun Fact: I can speak 3 languages!

Matthew Cook
Associate Director of Youth Ministry
I am very excited to be joining the youth team here at Huron River MC where I will mostly be working with the 5th-8th Graders! I graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Mathematics, planning to become a middle or high school math teacher. Graduating college during the pandemic put those plans on pause and ultimately led me to pursue a path towards a full-time ministry career.
Fun Fact: I have an identical twin brother.
