What is Stepping Stones
Play & Learn?
Stepping Stones Play & Learn is designed for children ages 18 months through 4 years.
We provide a loving and developmentally appropriate atmosphere for your child to begin a Christian faith journey, develop socially, and enjoy play-based learning!
What is the weekly schedule?

Tuesday through Friday
8:45 am - 12:00 pm
Stepping Stones Play & Learn meets for 33 weeks from September through May and coordinates with the Dexter Community Schools calendar.
What does a typical day at Stepping Stones include?

Our ratio of one teacher to four children enables us to have the time and attention to engage each child, differentiating activities to meet their current developmental needs and help them grow.
What is the cost?
33 weeks of class over 9 months
1 day per week: $109 monthly
2 days per week: $218 monthly
3 days per week: $327 monthly
4 days per week: $436 monthly
Payments due by the 1st of each month
Who can attend?
Any children, ages 18 months to four. Membership or attendance at Huron River Methodist Church is not required.

Director of Stepping Stones Play & Learn
I have the best job at Huron River Methodist Church, getting to play almost every day of the week! I coordinate a Nursery Care Team of volunteers for Sundays and teach 1 to 4-year-olds in our weekday play-based learning program. I love that I get to support families and encourage them on their faith journey from their very first steps, all while having a lot of fun! When I'm not teaching toddlers how to pretend eat the food in our play kitchen, this California native is usually grabbing an iced coffee or trying to find a good taqueria in Michigan. I also love to play board games and camp with my husband and three kids.
Fun Fact: Our family moved to the Dexter area during the pandemic and bought our house remotely after only video and picture tours. Thank God it all worked out well!
